  1. Hello Lachlan,

I'm Evelyn and I will be working with the Summer Learning Journey team for 2018-2019 to read and follow amazing blog posts like yours! I am so excited to read what pops into that wonderful brain of yours and hope you have fun on this journey!

Those are some interesting facts about New Zealand! I have lived here my whole life and had no idea about some of these facts so thank you for telling me a more about our country, well done Lachlan! Please remember to make sure you put the information into your own words next time. Your first fact is surprising to me, have you ever been to Australia before? I've been to Australia two times and both times I visited Sydney. It's a similar city to Auckland (where I live) except the shopping malls and amusement parks over there are much, much bigger! Do you enjoy shopping or going on rides in the amusement park? I think it's really fun to walk around with friends and have a good time. What a unique and special bird we have, don't you think? Do you have friends who are from another country and do they call you a Kiwi? When I go to visit my friends in Australia, Taiwan or South Africa, they call me a Kiwi! They thought it was funny to be calling me a bird but I told them it is a normal nickname here in New Zealand. Have you ever seen a Kiwi bird in real life before? I have seen them at the zoo before.

    Happy blogging,
    Evelyn :D

  2. Hello Lockie!

These are some great facts about New Zealand. I would love to know some more information about the first fact you have. Maybe you could include some dates in your fact. I can't wait to see what else you blog about over the summer break.

    Have a great Christmas!
